Duncan Black is a senior fellow with Media Matters for America and the proprietor of the blog called Eschaton, which he's been writing under the pseudonym of Atrios since April 2002. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Brown University in 1999, and prior to joining Media Matters, held teaching and research positions at the London School of Economics, the University of California-Irvine, and Bryn Mawr College. His blog gets about 125,000 visits per day, and has been mentioned in numerous publications including Vanity Fair, the New York Times Magazine, the New Yorker, and the New York Review of Books. He's 34 and lives in Philadelphia with his wife and their two cats.
