CREDO Mobile/Working Assets

Becky Bond is the political director for CREDO Mobile from Working Assets, a citizen advocacy group that has raised over $60 million for progressive causes. Becky led Working Assets’ successful nonpartisan effort to register 1 million voters before the 2004 election, as well as its volunteer mobilization for election protection which placed more than 15,000 volunteers — recruited online and trained by conference call -- at polling places nationwide. In 2005, Becky launched the online/offline Leave My Child Alone coalition in partnership with Mainstreet Moms to help parents change school district policies regarding military recruiting of minor children. Becky has also launched several media properties for Working Assets, including a daily public radio program and the progressive news site, WorkingForChange.com. Prior to her career at Working Assets, Becky edited the electronic edition of SF Weekly and worked as a conceptual artist showing work at venues as diverse as Macworld Expo and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. A native of Nashville, Tenn., Becky graduated from Williams College.
