Diane Farsetta
Diane Farsetta is the Center for Media and Democracy's senior researcher. Her investigative reports have revealed widespread fake TV news practices, nuclear industry front groups, and the impact of U.S. government PR campaigns. Her reporting on fake news led to the Federal Communications Commission's first-ever proposed fines for undisclosed video news releases. Diane has a background in radio news and public affairs, and co-produces CMD's Weekly Radio Spin segments, in addition to reporting for Election Unspun, a project of Pacifica Network and Free Speech Radio News. She's written chapters for multiple Project Censored books, and the two-volume academic review Battleground: The Media. Diane also contributes to WIMN's Voices, a group blog hosted by Women in Media and News. Diane has been interviewed on or quoted by NPR's Morning Edition and On the Media, ABC's Good Morning America, PBS's NOW, Pacifica's Democracy Now!, the Washington Post and the International Herald Tribune.
