Kathy Partridge
Kathy Partridge is executive director of Interfaith Funders, a collaborative of secular and faith-based social justice grantmakers supporting congregation-based community organizing. She was program officer with the Needmor Fund for 10 years. Her grantmaking focused on community organizing nationwide, the U.S. South, welfare reform, and independent media. She co-authored the National Network of Grantmakers' common grant application, and was awarded the honorary status of "Elder" at NNG's 25th Anniversary in 2005. Kathy's been an organizer in Mississippi, Colorado and Europe on social justice, women's and peace issues. She's led environmental, media and service nonprofit organizations in management, development, communications and volunteer coordination. She was on the Grassroots Global Justice delegation to the World Social Forum in Mumbai, India. Since 1985, she's been a radio host and producer at Denver-Boulder's community station KGNU and represented the station at an AMARC global community radio conference in Nicaragua in 1989. A graduate of the University of Colorado (in peace and conflict studies), she is currently completing an M.A. in social justice philanthropy and organizing at Regis University, where she’s researching how progressive philanthropists advance social movements through strategic grantmaking. Kathy lives, hikes, and gardens in Boulder County, Colorado.
