Our current media activism efforts are part of a history of change efforts in the media sphere. In this interview-style conversation, we hear the stories of the man who broke new ground as the South’s first African-American news anchor; the legendary father of public access television; and the Johnson-era FCC commissioner who put consumer and citizen interests first. This session provides an opportunity to take stock of lessons learned and implications for the future from decades of historic battles for media change.
