Chris Rabb
Chris Rabb is a consultant, writer, and "netroots" activist. He has been covered by, or featured on, C-SPAN, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Philadelphia Tribune, NPR, Air America Radio, XM Radio and Free Speech TV. Rabb is also a published writer, having written for such publications as The Nation and ColorLines magazine. A former columnist at the Yale Daily News, Rabb was also a stand-up comedian and remains an improvisational comedy performer in his role as a facilitator for ImprovEdge. Rabb has addressed students, corporate executives, political activists and other groups across the United States, Europe and Brazil. He was one of the few "credentialed" bloggers at the 2004 Democratic Convention, blogging for Afro-Netizen, which he founded in 1999. Rabb is a principal with Visceral Ventures LLC, a consultancy focusing on organizational effectiveness and new media strategy. He is a graduate of Yale College and earned an M.S. in organizational dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania. Rabb is a 2001 American Marshall Memorial Fellow. In 2006, he was elected as a Democratic committeeperson, serving his Mt. Airy neighborhood in Philadelphia. A native Chicagoan, he is married to Imani Perry, and has two sons, Freeman Diallo and Issa.
