Mountain View, CA-based Meraki announced its plan to provide free, broadband wireless access to the city of San Francisco on January 4, 2008. By the end of July 2008, Meraki has more than 110,000 users, about 7% of San Francisco’s residential population, and coverage over half the city (3.5 square miles).
