The Pentagon's New Iraq Propaganda

The state department expects to spend just $5.6 million on public diplomacy in Iraq in fiscal 2008. But Secretary of Defense Robert Gates plans to spend $300 million for propaganda to "engage and inspire" Iraq's population to support its government and U.S. policies through a variety of media products and entertainment.
