Understanding What the Broadband Stimulus Does, and What It Doesn't Try to Do

The stimulus bill is designed with two goals. One is to pump money into the economy to get past a "freeze" in the flow of capital and the creation of wealth. This is the piece most folks focus on. But the other goal is actually about transforming the fundamentals of the economy so that job creation and economic growth remain sustainable. This goal is more important.
