Cable: DPI Is Good for Us; Congressman: It's Frightening

While the cable industry told Congress that deep packet inspection technology was great for consumers, Rep. Rick Boucher (D-Va.) expressed some doubts. DPI's "privacy intrusion potential is nothing short of frightening," he said, as consumer groups called for a full investigation into how ISPs are using the technology.
