After the Senate Fight: What's Next for The Uptake?

The Uptake, an independent news organization based in St. Paul, Minn., has reaped tons of good publicity -- and funding -- for it's coverage of the 2008 elections. But it turns out covering an election's aftermath isn't quite as remunerative as covering the election itself, and The Uptake is looking for new revenue streams to maintain its staff and citizen journalist trainings.
