Better-Than-Expected Profit Is Reported by News Corp.

The News Corp. reported an unexpected rise in profit, driven by its cable channels, particularly Fox News, and its movie studio. The company controls a cornucopia of media assets like Fox News, MySpace, the 20th Century Fox film studio, and several newspapers.
