Verizon Doubles Early Termination Fees

You know those early termination fees wireless carriers charge? The ones that cost consumers an arm and a leg to cancel their contract? Hopefully Verizon customers have a few arms and legs to spare. Starting Nov. 15, customers with a smart phone who want to break their contract early will be charged a fee of $350. That's twice the current fee of $175.
