Qing Saville
Qing (she/they) is a Taiwanese American multimedia essayist and community steward who believes process — how we do our work — is vital to building transformative change. At Free Press, Qing stewards the News Voices program’s growth and development from systems to stories. Past work in storytelling, narrative power and organizing brought her to this point, including co-creating a DEI coalition for journalism, community management at Gather, national documentary engagement at California Newsreel, and Asian American organizing and youth media education in Chicago. Qing is working on an audio project about intergenerational mental health and motherhood lineages for her master’s in multimedia journalism at the University of Oregon.
