NEW YORK — On Sept. 15, Internet freedom supporters will gather in City Hall Park to demand real protections for Net Neutrality and a rejection of Comcast's proposed merger with Time Warner Cable. The rally, organized by Free Press and its allies, will urge the Federal Communications Commission to adopt rules that would prevent broadband providers like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon from discriminating against online content and services.

WASHINGTON — On Tuesday, 27 of the nation’s largest online advocacy groups submitted a letter to FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler urging the agency to participate in at least four town hall-style public hearings outside the Beltway before ruling on Chairman Wheeler’s Internet proposal.
